About
Satyori Way is a resource for the serious study of Ayurveda, Jyotish, and Yoga as an integrated system of knowledge.
What This Site Is
This is a space for depth over breadth. Articles here explore the classical foundations of these sciences, their practical applications, and the connections between them that are often missed when each is studied in isolation.
The content draws from:
- Classical texts (Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, Ashtanga Hridaya, Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Yoga Sutras, and others)
- Traditional lineage teachings
- Direct study with qualified teachers
- Personal practice and observation
What This Site Is Not
This is not a site for:
- Quick fixes or wellness trends
- Medical advice (consult qualified practitioners)
- Predictive astrology readings
- Yoga as exercise
If you are looking for easy answers, this may not be the right resource. These sciences require patience, humility, and sustained engagement.
The Name
Satyori combines two Sanskrit-derived elements:
- Satya (सत्य) - truth, reality, that which is
- The suffix -ori suggesting orientation or direction
To orient toward truth. This is the aim of genuine Vedic study: not to acquire information, but to align with reality as it is.
Study Approach
The articles here reflect a particular understanding:
Integration over fragmentation. Ayurveda, Jyotish, and Yoga developed within the same cultural and philosophical matrix. They share assumptions about the nature of reality, the structure of the human being, and the purpose of life. Studying them together reveals connections that studying them separately obscures.
Classical grounding. Modern presentations often drift far from their sources. While adaptation is necessary, it should happen consciously, with awareness of what is being changed and why. We aim to stay close to the classical foundations while making them accessible.
Practical application. Theory matters only insofar as it informs practice. The goal is not to become a scholar, but to live more skillfully - with greater health, clarity, and alignment.
